| hmm. for the sake of bragging rights, here's my portfolio. it looks weird because the page was formatted to fit the iframe on my website, ahft. i don't usually do specific graphic designs, i.e. banners, layouts, logos, because i prefer just making art 'n' stuff. http://ahft.piczo.com/portfolioof the collection, here are my favorite three: >> by the pond>> dawn another day>> project interfacealso i found it funny that croc of all people decided to make a thread entitled "Portfolios". not judging his hypocrisy of course, because that would be naughty of me. ;D | |

| Eh, no. It's not flash, I hate working with that. Rather, I use a free alternative to Photoshop, called Microsoft Paint.NET, not to be confused with the Paint that comes with your computer when you install Windows.
Paint.NET is a very great raster image editor, and I've been using it since April of this year. I never thought I'd be making art like this back then.
And thanks for the compliments. ;D

I'd actually buy Adobe Fireworks before I'd buy Adobe PS CS3. What version of Photoshop do you use? And besides Paint.NET, I use Google Picasa and Corel Paint Shop Pro 8 { which actually isn't free, but the file I found WAS free }.

LOL. I have seen a screenshot of Adobe PS CS4 and it does look crazy different than CS3 extended. I still think it pales in comparison to Fireworks though. =]

I don't know the exact link, but when you open Paint.NET, go to the Help menu, and a drop down list will show up with "Tutorials", "Plugins", "Forum", etcetera. There are a lot of tutorials on their forum besides just how to make banners with scan lines and light rays. There's a lot of talented people who post on that forum. I am clearly not one of them. =]
